James Corden will be hosting the Tony awardings, the ceremony which honours the best Broadway depicts of the year.
The host of CBSs The Late Late Show will construct his debut as MC on 12 June at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.
The British comedian and performer has performed on Broadway twice and won a Tony in 2012 as best leading performer in a play for One Man, Two Guvnors.
He first performed on Broadway in 2006 in Alan Bennetts play The History Boys.

I consider it a huge honor to be asked to host such an incredible night. Its gonna be fun, I cant just waiting dust off my tap shoes!
Corden has hosted The Late Late Show for almost a year and has boosted audience figures by a third among 18 -4 9-year-olds, though in the overall ratings stakes he trails far behind NBCs Jimmy Fallon, the current champion.
However, his Carpool Karaoke slot has been a viral make. His episode starring Adele has been viewed 62 m hours. The next instalment, on Tuesday night, will see him sing with Chris Martin ahead of Coldplays performance as the half-time entertainment at the Super Bowl on Sunday.
