Jordan Rodgers, former college football quarterback and current contestant on The Bachelorette , apparently has some major-league beef with Aaron Rodgers, his older brother who also happens to be a Super Bowl champion and two-time NFL MVP.
How do we know? Jordan took a blindside shot at Aaron on The Bachelorette ‘s most recent episode.
Jordan told bachelorette JoJo Fletcher he and Aaron are no longer close because of the style the latter has “chosen to do life.”
Jordan is apparently in The Bachelorette finals or semi-finals or something I have no idea how this works, but he has advanced far enough in the reality-TV dating sight to accompany JoJo on a totally normal date to an Argentinian vineyard in this week’s episode.( Yes, they actually flew to Mendoza, Argentina, for the date .)
There, in a courtyard surrounded by television cameras and before their own nationals Tv audience, Jordan said he wanted to introduce JoJo to his family. He told JoJo of how she’d satisfy his mothers, his oldest brother, Luke, and even Luke’s dog if she got lucky.
But, Jordan added, “my middle brother won’t be there.”
JoJo: “And that’s … Aaron? “
Yes, that’s Aaron. Now here’s more from Jordan.
Like I said, I have a great relationship with my brother Luke. Me and Aaron don’t genuinely have that much of a relationship. It’s merely kinda the route he’s chosen to do life and, uh, I chose to stay close with my family, and my parents and my brother. It’s not ideal, and I love him and I can’t imagine what it’s like to be in his shoes and to have the pressure he has and the demands from people that he has. Don’t have hard feelings against him, it’s just how things go right now .
Aaron, who is 32, plays quarterback for the Green Bay Packers and is among the NFL’s brightest starrings. He won NFL MVP in 2011 and 2014, and resulted the Packers to victory in Super Bowl XLV. He’s currently dating the actress Olivia Munn.
Jordan, who is 27, also told JoJo on The Bachelorette about the difficulty of grown up in his brother’s shadow. That’s valid, and was surely painful at times.
But, dude: When you put yourself on a contrived sight of a reveal like The Bachelorette , you throw all your normal-guy-not-interested-in-the-fame cred out the window.
Anyway, that’s that. Back to real life now.
