The creepy figure was spotted in Sheffield .

After traversing the pond, creepy jesters are now riding mobility scooters at least according to a video that has emerged online.

A clip of a man whizzing around on a mobility scooter, while wearing a clown mask and an orange wig, was posted to Facebook by Sheffield car salesman, Justin Martin Lee.

“He merely shot past and we managed to get the phone out. It was just very strange, ” Lee said.

The sighting is the latest in a series of clown-related incidents in the UK.

In only the working day, Thames Valley Police were called to 14 incidents of people being intimidated or frightened by others dressed as clowns.

Reports have been made across the region including Bracknell, Milton Keynes, Abingdon and Chesham.

Their actions can cause anxiety and nervousnes to other people, this could be perceived as intimidating and threatening which could lead to public order offences, apprehend and a criminal record, ” Chief Supt. Andy Boyd, head of neighbourhood policing, said.

In addition, their behaviour is tying up police resources which could impact on calls to other incidents.

While we realise that reports of this kind are not restricted to the Thames Valley area, the question of intimidation, potential apprehend and garbage of public resources are the same across the country and we would urge people to abstain from such activity.

Six clown-related incidents have been reported to Gloucestershire Police 😛 TAGEND

“The reportshave mostly involved clowns carrying knives. In one case a child was followed. Clearly this has scared people and caused real distress, ” a police spokesman said.

In County Durham, a knife-wielding human dressed as a clown jumped out on two children, aged 11 and 12, on their style to school.

He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, red shoes, a multi-coloured top and a mask, as well as having his face painted, according to police.

Sergeant Mel Sutherlandsaid: “The children arrived at school understandably upset and distressed by this incident and we are now trying to situate this man.

“We believe this to be part of a much larger prank which is currently sweeping across the USA and parts of the UK. It is very alarming he was carrying a knife. However, we do not think he intended to harm the children and as far as we are aware, this is part of the prank.”

At least six clown-related incidents have been reported in Newcastle since Sept. 30, leaving parents and educators very worried, according to Northumbria Police.

A teenage boy was arrested in Blakelaw, near Newcastle, in possession of a “bladed article” in connection with the incidents, police said.

Nobody has been injured in the incidents.
