I've scoured the stores and web for my spouse|friend} to find the right width Cold Weather Boots that doesn't look like an old person's Cold Weather Boots; the Womens Burton Moto was my saving grace. They're very comfy and nice looking too.

This Cold Weather Boots fits my smaller foot just right, but I don't like the outside heel material. Walking on carpeting is fine, but on other surfaces the heel feels slippery, so I will replace it. The present heel also left black marks on my kitchen floor. I chose this Cold Weather Boots to wear for "dress up" occasions, not for daily walking. My daughters, in their 40's, thought the Cold Weather Boots looked very nice on me.
